Open House this Thursday!

Join us this Thursday, April 30th from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm!  It is a great opportunity to see the highlights from this school year and celebrate our students' achievement and success!

Please note: This is a minimum school day from 8:15 am to 12:40 early dismissal.  Thank you!

Congratulations Students!

Congratulations to all of the students who earned Honor Roll and Principal List honors based on their GPA from the 3rd Quarter.  There were 177 students who earned Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.66 to 3.82 and 185 students who earned Principal's List honors with a GPA of 4.0.  All of these 362 students have worked hard during the 3rd Quarter and should be very proud of their accomplishments. Go Bobcats!   Click on the lists below:

BJH Band Wins Big!

On Saturday, April 18, our Intermediate and Concert Bands participated in the Music in the Parks festival at Knott's Berry Farm and enjoyed a fantastic day.  Both bands had their best performances of the year so far and showed tremendous musical progress.  Due to our successful performances both on and off the stage, we brought home FOUR trophies!

- Intermediate Band earned an EXCELLENT rating and a 1st place trophy in their division (AA Concert Band Division 2).

- Concert Band earned a SUPERIOR rating and a 1st place trophy in their division (AA Concert Band Division 1).

- Intermediate Band's score was the second highest of all concert bands in all divisions (junior high and high school concert bands)

- Concert Band's score of 93.5 was the highest score of all concert bands in all divisions (junior high and high school concert bands) and they earned the OVERALL Concert Band trophy.

Lastly, our collective BJH Bands earned us the prestigious ESPIRIT DE CORPS AWARD! This is the highest honor awarded by Music in the Parks.  It has nothing to do with the groups' musical performances, but rather their performance OFF STAGE. It is given to the school who demonstrates the best behavior, respect, teamwork, and school spirit.  It is only given to ONE school out of all who attended.

Music in the Parks attendees included bands, orchestras, and choirs from all over California and some from out of state.  We are tremendously proud of the students!  We really went out with a bang!

Mark Your Calenders for a "Must See Production!"

You do not want to miss our upcoming theatrical production of "Monster Problems."  Please join us Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th in the BJH auditorium to see our Play Production students shine on stage. The cost is $5.00 and all BJH students are free with their student ID cards. Don't miss out!
