Incoming 7th Grade Parent Orientation Presentations
BJH is planning for the 2015 - 2016 school year and is inviting all incoming 7th grade families to a Parent Orientation Meeting. Two orientation sessions for parents will be held from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Brea Junior High School auditorium. All parents with the last name ranging from A-L are invited to attend on Tuesday, March 24th and all parents with the last name ranging from M-Z are invited to attend on Wednesday, March 25th. Please know that you are welcome on whichever night fits your schedule best! If you are unable to attend, please check our school website after March 25th for notes from the orientation. We are looking forward to meeting all of you during next week’s parent sessions.
Mark Your Calenders for a "Must See Production!"
You do not want to miss our upcoming theatrical production of "Monster Problems." Please join us May 14th and 15th in the BJH auditorium to see our Play Production students shine on stage. The cost is $5.00 and all BJH students are free with their student ID cards. Don't miss out!
Meetings will be scheduled to gather input from staff, parents, community leaders, service organizations, PTA/PTO/PTSA Boards, and Site Councils. The community is invited to attend the open forum scheduled for March 25, at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office conference room.

Pennies For Patients

Congratulations to Ayush Nabar and Vanessa Diep for winning this year's Chemistry Challenge! Both of these students will be representing BJH at the state competition held at the Discovery Science Center in April. Congratulations to all of the students who earned Honor Roll and Principal List honors based on their GPA from the 2nd Quarter. There were 140 students who earned Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.66 to 3.82 and 227 students who earned Principal's List honors with a GPA of 4.0. HomeAid Silent Auction
We are celebrating our 15th year helping HomeAid OC end homelessness in Orange County—and we are proud to announce that we raised $3,400 and counting this year! Thank you to the families that attended the auction and thank you again to the companies that generously donated to our auction. A HUGE thank you goes out to all!
Brea Junior High has a new special way to celebrate your student! You can now purchase a message to be displayed on the electronic marquee! Ten dollars for an entire day celebrates a birthday, congratulates a sports victory, or salutes a very special occasion in your student’s life. We are proud of Ayush Nabar and Kristi Lee who represented BJH at the Orange County Spelling Bee!And we are even prouder to announce that Ayush came in 3rd Place! Very impressive!
"What does it mean to be... American?" We are proud of Aino Hakkinen, Emily Barker, and Jeanelle Canal! Their patriotic essays were recognized by the Brea Kiwanis Club. Aino's essay earned "top honors" for us here at BJH! Way to Go!
Cole Derian, Abigail King and Lara Attalla submitted entries into this year's Chapman University's Holocaust Art & Writing competition! All three had outstanding entries, and we are eagerly awaiting to hear the results.
